Wild Friday night

The foul weather has curtailed our lunchtime sprints around the garden here at Loseley, so it has taken a few days for us to notice the damage from last Friday’s storm – two large Eucalyptus trees have taken out part of the East wall.

The gardeners considered trying to lever them back into place, but there was a considerable amount of root disturbance.

However the fallen branches give an opportunity to see the blossom

And once the wall is repaired with local Bargate stone and lime mortar it will be an opportunity to plant something new and maybe different.
