Jayne’s Day Job

Jayne Newman is one of our regular volunteers in the office here at Loseley Park and has been doing sterling work with Joanna and Vicky on the schedule of Open Days to celebrate our 35th birthday.  However her ‘day job’ is in the plant centre at RHS Wisley and through this she went on a behind the scenes trip to Hilliers to see what happens to the plants before they arrive on the shelves at Wisley.

IMG_6229The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens are holders of 12 National Plant Collections so Jayne also managed to get outside to have a look at the Winter Garden.

The Members’ Weekend and AGM in April is in Hampshire and guests will also have an opportunity to explore these gardens and do a bit of Collection spotting.

  1. Gorgeous photos – especially love the Hamamelis ‘Aphrodite’ with Cornus ‘Midwinter Fire’ in the front – knockout. Very cleverly & artistically planted to great effect.

  2. What fantastic images Jane! Can’t wait for the AGM to go myself!
