One of our conservation strands is the Annual Plant Exchange; rare plant material contributed by National Plant Collection Holders and Plant Heritage members is shared out among our members.  The rules of this exchange are very simple – the offered or requested plant must have no more than two suppliers listed in the RHS Plantfinder.  The Shropshire group have taken on the task (from the North East group) of compiling the offers and requests into a listing which is available to all members.

The 2012 Exchange list will be ready after December 15th 2011 and you don’t have to have offered a plant to request one.  Plants move to their new homes via the National AGM which will be held in the North West in May 2012.  Behind closed doors the donated material is distributed according to lists from each group and the plants travel back with AGM participants to be united with their new owners.
