“Bring flowers…….”

Each week I try to bring into the office some flowers from the garden to fill one of our two vases; one big, one small, neither of them particularly special.  Usually by November I am running out of material, although last week was good as I had been cutting my hedges which produced lots of interesting foliage and berries as well as honeysuckle in full flower.  Last night I got an email from Mercy saying ‘Bring flowers, the vase has arrived’

In July the Plant Heritage Marquee at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show was awarded ‘Best Show Feature’by the RHS.  To commemorate the occasion we received a crystal vase, which has now been engraved with the names of all the exhibitors.  We would like to thank the RHS for the award as well as all the Collection Holders and volunteers who contributed to making this such a magnificent show; Pine Cottage Plants, Barry Clarke, Field House Nursery, Langley Boxwood Nursery, Mr & Mrs K Hayward, Winchester Growers Ltd, Jim Marshall, Lullingstone Castle, Pollie’s Daylilies, Plantagogo, The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens & Arboretum, Mickfield Hostas, Mrs S Worth, Tynings Nursery, Tale Valley Nursery, Paul Gardner, Dibleys Nurseries, Mrs J Godfrey Owen MBE, Janet Wright & June James.

 Roll on 2012.
